Message I never got into Powerlifting. Everything I heard about it through the years was how it tore your body down. Ligament, cartilage, vertebra alignments all stress with enormous amounts of pressure. That eventually takes a toll on your body with arthritis, aches and pains to last a lifetime. Not that bodybuilding is any better, but that is something that kinda stuck with me on and off for years. But for myself, it seemed as if my metabolism would fight me for many of the beginning years. Also a fighting factor is the cost of after-market supplements. Like yourself, getting muscle does not come over night and trying everything on the market and finding what works for you takes time. Once you've found it, the cost can be huge. For myself, went through the Twin weight gain in the late 80's, than 1000 in the lower 90's, than 2500 in the mid 90's. Picked up on EAS in 1994 before it hit the market and that stuff really worked. Then came Muscle Tech in the ladder part of the 90's. That stuff works very well too. But the cost as you know of these products like alike a new car payment each month. Along with eating right and proper sleep and a good workout plan make it hard to maintain as our lives get older and more complex ( kids, jobs, homes, stress, life ).

So like Chip, I had great years of lifting too. But I have not maintained the life I used to live, but still make it to the gym often. I'm just not crazy about it like I use to be. For time is very hard to get a hold of when your going in 10 directions daily. That and a good job that allows you to keep on target works too. What I've found these days is, I can go in, and bench 350, 360 still and haven't worked out in like 5, 6 months. But the stamina is all but gone, lol. I'll go into sets and find that I can't finish the full set, because slacking off. That and I'm not getting any younger, lol. Was never a Deadlift guy, or squats person, but the legsled was a blast. I'd do something like 8 plates on each side for like 30 reps, than goto 10 on each side and cut the sets in half. Get up and feel like your going to puke on the floor, lol. But hope you get back into it Bro. You look like you've come a long way. What's your goals? Got any pictures of you next to the Z?

I don't go taking pictures of myself, lol. But here's one I have at least.
